Nice to meet you, I'm Amber.
From an early age, my interests would shift like the wind. One month, I'd dive into ceramics, and the next, I'd embark on a completely different creative endeavour. Among them all, what captured my heart was the art of crafting jewelry.

One cherished memory is from when I was 17, traveling in Poland to reconnect with my roots after just graduating from my fashion studies. My grandmother gave me a piece of amber she had found on the beach near Gdansk. Together, we created a necklace, a protection token for all my future adventures.
Among her eclectic collection of unique amber jewelry, she had pieces of amber she had found herself. She would go to the beach with my grandfather and later with her children, including my mother. With no clear intentions, but perhaps a deep connection to those memories and the sea, my mother named me Amber.

Therefore this project is dedicated to my Polish roots and family, to the light that I found while I was looking for amber, to many beach walks that gave me clarity and a sense of hope, to all the adventures in the night looking for amber after the storm and for taking a gamble with myself and this life.

Thank you.
'Taking inspiration from my heritage and finding passion in continuing a small story within one family. To keep looking for amber and while doing that, finding pieces of myself.'
My grandmother on the beach, near Gdansk, where she found and collected amber during the course of her life. One of the most magical ones she found, is the one in the video.
My aunt Ania and my mother worked together in a jewelry gallery in Gdansk, as their first job, selling amber jewelry. From her first salary she bought a ring that she gifted to me as a token of good luck regarding my project.
Me (and my cousin) looking for amber nearby Jantar, another word for amber in Polish. This was during the night, right after the storm. We stayed outside until the early morning, waiting for the sun to arrive.
